CIVILE MISSION
From 28th of March untill 4th of April, I travelled to Israel and Palestine together with a "Civile Mission for the Protection of Palestinian People".
Our group was composed of 28 civilians, some of them reprensentatives of local associations, trade unions or political parties (http://www.urgencepalestine.ch).

The main goal of these civile mission is to show our solidarity and support to the palestinian people and to support peace groups in Israel and Palestine.
When back in our country, our duty is to witness the palestinian people's situation (in Israel and in the occupied territories) and raise conscience concerning civile rights issues.

During that week, we met peace activists in Israel and in Palestine, took part in many demonstrations (at check-points, in Ramallah, Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, ...), met the bedouins in Neguev during the Day of the Land, heard reports on discriminations towards arabs living in Israel, and spent 4 days in Gaza strip.
It was a very intense week, we saw and heard many revolting situations of discriminations, oppression and human rights violations. And what strike me most is the situation in Gaza strip. Here is my personal report on what I saw.

A few month later, I travelled back to Israel for my holydays, and received a special welcome at the airport.
