CHECK-POINTS
The settlements and their bypass roads (strictly reserved for settlers) divide the palestinian territory into 3 zones. Israeli army controls Palestinian circulation through 2 main check-points.
These check-points are often closed for days restricting movements of Palestinians, preventing them to go to work or visit family, sometimes even obstructing access to ambulances.

On our way to south Gaza we were confronted to the impressive military presence deployed at check-points.
At Netzarim check-point an ambulance had been waiting for 2 hours. We made a demonstration and 2 tanks came, threatening to shoot us.

After long discussions (about occupation, peace, etc...) and negociations with the soldiers they opened the checkpoint.

At Abu Houli junction the checkpoint was closed. A long line of cars and trucks waiting... since 5 days! Even for a 10 km journey people take blankets and food with them, because they know they might be blocked for days at the check-points.
Again, after threatening and long negotiations, the soldiers opened the check-point. But without our presence, for how long did they plan to carry on this oppressing and humiliating closure?
